    Following graduation I had the opportunity to move to several cities in Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, Minnesota and Nevada. These moves happened every few months, and in preparation I would call the local Chamber of Commerce to learn as much as possible about the next town we would be calling home. The Chamber gave me information on rentals, hotels, trailer parks, businesses, and the general feel of the community.     The Kimball Landfill has experienced more trouble from aging equipment according to a report given to the Kimball City Council by City Administrator Daniel Ortiz. Steve Pinkerton of Prestige Manufacturing began making repairs to the bailer that is housed inside the large shop. “It’s really showing its age,” Ortiz said. “It started operation out at the landfill in 1998 but we purchased it used.” Landfill supervisor Jim Schulte said the bailer dates back to between 1972 and 1975 and handles, on average, 3.5 to 4 million pounds of waste annually....

    A facelift design for the underpass has been chosen. The Kimball city council voted for the first concept and the least expensive one at its Sept. 15 meeting. Three concepts were initially presented, although there were few differences between the three.     The City of Kimball approved funding for the Kimball Banner County Chamber of Commerce and a KENO grant for the Kimball Lions Club at the regularly scheduled city council meeting on March 3.
