Image courtesy of western nebraska observer A memorial wall stands near the crash site of United 93, which was hijacked in the morning hours of September 11, 2001. Passengers onboard the aircraft decided to act in hopes of halting the hijacking and stormed the cockpit, forcing the plane down into a field outside of Shanksville, Pennsylvania. No one onboard the aircraft survived the crash.
