    A new study from a financial planning organization lists Kimball County among the Top 10 counties in Nebraska with the strongest small business presence. To be precise, Kimball County checks in at No. 8. The study measures IRS data on the number of small businesses operating in each county, how much income they generate and what they pay in taxes.     Employees of RES, who work on Kimball area windmills, recently made donations to help buy Christmas presents for local families, and RES helped the cause by matching the funds. When the Kimball County Sheriff's Office heard about what RES was doing, it sounded similar to what they were doing. The sheriff's office and RES soon partnered up and combined everything they had done. More than $1,000 was raised all together.
