    Two managers of the Kimball Super 8 motel pled guilty in federal court in Omaha to harboring an unlawful immigrant for financial gain and conspiracy, according to federal authorities. Vishnubhai Chaudhari, 50, and Leelabahen Chaudhari, 44, of Kimball pled guilty to the charges on Monday, Dec. 18, following their arrest on March 30, 2017.     A&L Sales and Service hosted a toy drive from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday Dec. 15, in memory of co-owner Lindsey Chavez's father, George Armstrong. This is the first of many planned toy drives at A&L, which allows parents to choose 1-2 presents per child. The presents were stored at the back of the store and store workers were willing to wrap the presents, out of sight of the children.     The Kimball High boy's suffered a loss at Hershey on Friday evening, but regrouped in big fashion to win at Bayard on Saturday, leaving their season record even at 3-3 at the Christmas break. The Longhorns held their own early at Hershey with the score tied at 11-11 at the end of the 1st quarter, but the Panthers broke away in the second period to outscore Kimball 16-6, taking a half-time lead of 27-17 and expanded their margin even more in the second half play to win out 55-30.     The win-loss weekend for the Kimball High Lady Longhorns came with a 49-30 loss at Hershey Friday night, and a 56-47 win at Bayard on Saturday.     The Coyotes got their first win of the season againts Leyton last Tuesday Dec. 12 and according to coach Ryan Mumm that was the best game they have played to date this season. “Dylan Nielsen and Connor Williams both had nice games scoring 14 points each,” Terell Gray had his best game so far scoring seven points and grabbing 13 rebounds.     5-1 overall and 2-0 in district, not a bad way to start the season for the Potter-Dix Lady Coyotes. Just like the Coyotes the girls for Potter-Dix also added a W last Tuesday night againts Leyton. The Potter-Dix girls out scored Leyton 54-34. The Lady Coyotes saw a different outlook against Caliche Friday night, with another win 36-22. Statistics were not available for either game at press time.     Coach Klent Schnell helped me out with some stats of his Kimball Junior High Wrestling Team so we can give you readers a recap of the recent 2017 season. Schnell said, “We started out with 11 wrestlers and finished with 8 due to injuries, transfers and eligibility. I believe we should have at least 15 young men out for wrestling at the junior high level.     The Kimball Boy's Junior Varsity ran their record to 4-0 with wins at Hershey and Bayard this past weekend. It was a nail biter at Hershey Friday night with the young Horns winning our 36-34 with a big fourth quarter spurt where they out scored the hosts 12-2.
