    Until this past week, one should not have been able to find a hoof print, let alone a horseshoe, on Kimball’s Horseshoe Hill, as it was zoned R-2, for residential use only. Horseshoe Hill, encompassing more than 125 acres of land was rezoned rural residential following discussion for and against the process at the Kimball City Council meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 16.     Kimball’s commissioners, acting as the Board of Equalization, voted to deny the Kimball Child Care Center tax “exempt” status during their Feb. 16 board meeting.     In the final home court appearance for five senior boys, the Kimball High Longhorns finished the regular season play with a 54-43 win over visiting Mitchell Friday night.     The Kimball High Lady Longhorns saw their season come to an end with a 59-47 loss in first round sub-district tournament play at Alliance this past week. With the loss, their hopes and plans for a trip to the state tournament also went out the door.
