    Kimball County Clerk, Cathy Sibal, and the entire county clerk's office began one of their busiest seasons last Friday, Dec. 1. It's not Christmas, it's filing season.     A murder suspect on the lam out of Laramie County, Wyoming was arrested without incident on Sunday, Dec. 2, shortly after 5 p.m. Just three hours prior, the Kimball Police Department, along with the Kimball County Sheriff's Office, received notice from the Laramie County Sheriff's Office out of Cheyenne, Wyo., that homicide suspect, Armando Ramirez-Serna, age 21, was being harbored in the Kimball area.     Jeri Ferguson’s Civics class at Kimball High School continue working to make a difference. They hope to raise awareness of current military members and veterans. According to KHS senior, Justine Heeg, the Civics class is organizing a fundraiser this week to design and make an insignia for each branch of the military to be displayed around the school.     Kimball’s One Act students showcased their acting talents on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the District competition, narrowly missing the top three placements. Despite the fourth-place finish, Kennedy Lewis, Kaden Adrian and Paycen Harroun, all of Kimball, were nominated for best actress and actors.     Kimball Police Department reports that in the month of November they received eight calls regarding vehicle break-ins. Additional calls have been received regarding break-ins in area storage units and Plains Body Shop also had a related call. Her birth completed a family of nine, which included five brothers – Bill, Dick, Don, Bob and Melvin "Buss" Wilson, Jr. - Grandpa Cronn, mother Alice Cronn Wilson, and father Melvin Wesley Wilson.     Dundy County-Stratton ran past host Kimball in winning the championship of the boy's division of the Kimball four-team tournament this past weekend with Morrill winning over Potter-Dix for third place honors. They opened up with a home dual with Bayard on the final day of November and despite the losing score of 40-5, Coach Wade Brashear saw some good wrestling from some of his limited squad.     The Potter-Dix Play Production team competed in the D2-6 district contest on Tuesday, Nov. 28 and walked away just shy of top honors and a championship competition.     The Kimball Lions Club recently conducted their yearly Hearing and Vision Screening for the students at Mary Lynch Elementary and Kimball Jr./Sr. High School. The screening is a free service offered by the Kimball Lions Club in conjunction with the Nebraska Lions Foundation and BlueCross Blue Shield of Nebraska.
