    The Veterans Day ceremony at Harry McNees Auditorium in Kimball is a wholehearted display of respect for America and the soldiers who serve it. For many, it is unconditional.   • New Dix Post Office Will Operate Four Hours On Weekdays

    Although a date is still to be determined, the brand new Dix Post Office will be opening in the not-to-distant future. Final details are being completed by contractors before all new technical equipment is added, according to Kimball Postmaster Karen Miller, who manages the post offices in Potter, Dix and Bushnell.     The story of two Air Force airmen who helped fight a fire that forced a Dix family from its home last Thursday night has spread far and wide on traditional and social media.     Dona Kay Carmichael was born in Scottsbluff, NE, on March 10, 1944, to Bernard and Eunice Haddix, and passed away on Nov. 7, 2019, at the Kimball Hospital surrounded by loving family.
