Garner, a 2004 Kimball graduate, served in the Army as a flight paramedic stationed in Germany for the majority of his active duty except for his training time. Mary Kay was born in Kimball to Mary (Linn) Moore and Dick Moore. She graduated from Kimball High School in 1969, attended to college to major in piano for a year in Nevada, Mo., and then transferred to the University of Wyoming where she majored in home economics. Kimball’s newest deputy sheriff, Anthony Osborn, arrived in August of this year, and will attend the Nebraska Police Academy in Grand Island in March 2016, where he will receive his certification when he graduates. A program that could help locate missing children will be held next week in Kimball Schools. The CHIP (Child Identification Program) will be hosted by James L. Eatmon Masonic Lodge #294 on Nov. 10 at Mary Lynch Elementary School and on Nov. 13 at Kimball Junior/Senior High School. Kimball County was recently notified by the Nebraska Department of Revenue that a settlement has been reached for a 2014 valuation appeal from Frontier Pipeline, LLC. Frontier went through the process of suing the county for the assessed value placed on its properties, and won for a refund of more than $38,500.
