    Western Nebraska Intelligence and Narcotics Group (WING) executed a search warrant in Kimball around 10:50 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 16. Executing a search warrant at 307 N. Oak St. in Kimball.     More than 80 high-school students from around the Panhandle participated in the 2017 West Regional Land Judging Contest on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The event, held north of Dix, was hosted by the North Platte Natural Resources District (NRD), South Platte NRD, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).     The James L. Eatmon Masonic Lodge and Kim Bowl hosted their innaugural Nine-Pin No-Tap Tournament on Saturday, Oct. A total of 61 bowlers competed this two day, four round tournament, with single and doubles divisions for men or women as well as a combination. The pay out was a $1,000 pot to be split between all 300 games, of which there were three.     Potter-Dix shut out their opponents on their home court this past Saturday against Minatare, Bayard and Creek Valley. The Lady Coyotes played strong, beating the Minatare Indians, with a 2-0 win.     Senior night ended in a loss for the Banner County Lady Wildcats last Thursday night. Banner County faced off with Sioux County and lost in three sets, 25-11, 25-14, and 25-22.     Kimball Cross Country had their District meet last Thursday in Bayard at Chimney Rock Golf Course. Coach Johnson said all of the Kimball athletes ran really well and all tried their hardest. “Sadly none of them qualified for state,” she added.
