    Deven Sullivan finished third in the junior high boys race to lead Banner County last week at the Sidney cross country meet. Sullivan finished the race in 12:12 for the Wildcats. Gregory Blickensderfer took seventh in 12:33, Riley Little took ninth in 12:50 and Avery Wicker finished 26th in 14:24. Micah Wicker led the junior varsity boys with a 15th place finish in 22:02, while Josh Boston finished 30th in 23:20.   • Coyotes fall to Garden County

    An offensive explosion in the first quarter helped propel Garden County High School to a 70-26 victory over Potter-Dix last Friday night. The Eagles put up 46 points in the opening 12 minutes to remain undefeated at 6-0. Potter-Dix slipped to 0-6 on the 2015 campaign. In the opening quarter, Garden County’s Matt McCarthy scored on runs of 50 and 48 yards and teammate Elliot Epp found the end zone from 25 and 27 yards out.   • Lady Coyotes continue to roll

    Potter-Dix posted six wins in its last six matches last week and Monday to improve to 18-2 on the season. The Lady Coyotes swept triangulars at Bayard, Paxton and Garden County. The Lady Coyotes opened the week in Bayard with a 25-11 and 25-16 win against the home team. Alexus Rozelle led the team offensively with four kills and five blocks, in addition to one ace.
