    Daria Anderson-Faden, a Kimball County commissioner and Western Nebraska Observer staff writer, was among four people injured in a two-vehicle Monday morning accident in Banner County. She was listed in good condition at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff early Wednesday after suffering serious injuries.     In seven minutes, the Kimball City Council held two public hearings last week for the 2019-20 Fiscal Year Budget and 2019-20 Set Final Property Tax Request. “The mill levy was up but the valuation was down. We didn’t raise taxes,” ” Mayor Keith Prunty explained. The city’s operating budget increased slightly from 2018 to 2019.     Marvin F. Jensen, 78, of Kimball, died at the Kimball County Manor on Monday, September 16, 2019. Memorial services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Kimball Evangelical Free Church in Kimball with Pastor Hod Boltjes officiating. Burial was at 12:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska.     The local school sports scene is in full swing and this includes junior high activities for Kimball. It’s hard to get to all of these activities, but thank you coach Dane Wurdeman for sending some football results this week. On September 10 the Kimball Junior High football team played Hemingford and took the young Bobcats right to the final minutes before losing a close nail-biter, 22-20.     Another record setting day on the golf course for Kimball's Payton Wise as the sophomore standout lowered her own school record round by 4 strokes it the Gering Invitational Tournament this past week.
