  • Yard Of The Week

    Daria Anderson-Faden, The Observer|Aug 13, 2020

The home of Jim and Betty Schulte received the most recent Yard of the Week award. The Schultes have lived in the house at 400 S. High School Street for 35 years. The yard had no flowers when they purchased the home. Although many of the flowers in the yard have already bloomed, the beautifully maintained yard is still eye-appealing. In the front yard, Betty has day lilies, corn lilies, lots of vines, and snow on the mountain, and in the backyard she has raspberries and tomatoes along with...

    Tom Southard, Jock Talk|Aug 13, 2020

At the time of this writing, and unless I hear a change, we will have no Nebraska football as the Big 10 has voted not to play. What I heard on Monday was that only Nebraska and Iowa voted to go ahead with the fall season, but I guess there could be a change yet. Interesting and disappointing. High School Practice Is On I did get word on Monday that the Kimball High fall sports are scheduled to proceed and fall sports practices began this past Monday. Practice time now until school starts on...

After checking out the internet, Tim and Cassie decided "Quarter Midgets was the route we would go." And their boys took to the Quarter Midgets like champions. Landon, 12, started racing when he was 7, but Keegan, now 8, took a practice race when he was 4...
