Despite heroic efforts at the scene, in the ambulance and at hospitals, 3-year-old Bentley Graves died following an accident at nearby Oliver Reservoir, according to Kimball County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Loy. The Kimball County Sheriff’s dispatch center received a 911 call of a possible drowning victim at the reservoir at approximately 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, June 27. Bentley died about 3 a.m. next day. The Kimball Board of Public Works heard from two separate, but interconnected, entities at their regular board meeting Tuesday, June 23. Larissa Binod, director of the Kimball Recycling Center and Keep Kimball Beautiful presented the quarterly financial report to the board. The City of Kimball was invited, as was nearly all the Panhandle municipalities, to join an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Economic Development Purposes. Bentley Luke Graves, 3, of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, died at Children's Hospital in Denver on Sunday, June 28, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kimball with Pastor Kenneth Mars officiating.
