Not many teachers will be able to beat Mrs. Flores' record and her exemplary dedication – 43 years in the same grade, first grade, and same school district, Kimball Public Schools. After graduating from the University of Nebraska in 1977, she began teaching in Kimball in the fall of that year. The 20-minute ceremony featured the "Star Spangled Banner" sung by Jenna Greenwood and Taps, played by Ethan Bemis. • Banner County Notes: Slowly But Surely, We're Getting There

    Barb Cross, The Observer|May 28, 2020

Good morning everyone! I hope this finds you all in good health and looking forward to the warm months ahead. Here at home things are starting to open up somewhat, the church and bank at least. I have had no reason to go to the courthouse so do not know about them, and of course, school has been off limits and will be for some time yet. School is definitely out for the summer! yeah!! Tomorrow, Friday May 29th, the Church of Christ will host another grab-n-go meal beginning at 5:30 p.m. I think walking tacos were on the menu. They are located...

Thanks to the COVID-19 scare ,there was no end of the school year awards night this year at the Kimball High so the Kimball High athletes missed out on this annual tribute as well. We published an entire list of accomplishments the graduating class achieved a couple of weeks back, but I want to give special recognition to Beau Hanks and Carli Wurdeman for being named Outstanding boy and girl Senior Athletes.  They both also received the WTC scholarships and WTC Scholar Athlete awards and both were 4 year 12 sport athletes!
