    GED classes are up and running smoothly in Kimball. Classes started the first week of April. “We have eight students right now attending classes,” said Daria Faden, Kimball’s instructor. New students interested in joining must go through enrollment first, then will be able to attend orientation during the first week of the month. Classes are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Kimball Public Library.     Senior volunteer hours are needed at the Senior Center, one-on-one helping seniors. The Aging Office of Western Nebraska is looking for members and non-members ages 60 and up to volunteer to help other seniors. Volunteer requirements include; valid drivers license, valid insurance, a physical and a commitment to volunteer four hours a week. Sophomores, Alexander Flores and Carli Wurdeman, joined, junior Hailey Paxton, in receiving this honor.     The Kimball High Boy's Golf Team picked up their fourth team championship of the season by winning the Division Two title at the Scottsbluff Tournament held Monday at the Scottsbluff Country Club course. On a breezy day, with the greens rolling fast, Kimball shot a 358 team score to win over the 10-team field.     The weather is still playing havoc with our area sports schedules and our Kimball High Track athletes had their meet at Morrill cancelled this past Saturday because of the winter-type storm that rolled into the area.     Another strong showing by the Kimball Junior High girls at their own Invitation Track and Field Invite. The Kimball girls scored 66 points and finished 3rd behind a strong Mitchell team that won with 88.5 points, with Burns 2nd with 75.5 points.
