    The Kimball High School Civics class is busy once again before the end of the current school year. They will be hosting a Political Forum later this month for all public office candidates who will be on the primary ballot in May.     The Kimball School board met in regular session on Monday, April 9, to approve a new math series for the district and review and prioritize capital projects needed for the safety and security of the schools.     The Casper Mobile Vet Center (MVC) will be in Kimball for the upcoming Veteran’s Resource Fair. They can provide any veteran, current service member, service provider or veteran family member with information on a variety of services, programs and benefits through the Veteran’s Administration and Vet Center.     Banner County Junior High hosted a Quiz Bowl tournament on Thursday, March 29, with six schools competing, according to Banner County coach Elizabeth Bohac. Bridgeport took first place honors with 390 points with Banner County following in second place with 380 points. Creek Valley eighth grade students placed third in the tournament with 265 points. Potter Dix's eighth grade contestants earned 245 points, Garden County's eighth grade team earned 230 points and Kimball's team earned 165 points....

    Kimball's Jordan Greenwood is faring well with college golf as a member of the highly respected Southeast Community College Men's Golf Team.     A good day on the track and in the field for the Kimball Junior High girl’s track team at the Bayard Invite this past Monday. Kimball finished runner-up and just 9.5 points back of the winning Bridgeport team in the final standings of the 17 school field. The final point totals were not sent out. An outstanding day for Kaitlin Heeg, who won the triple jump at 27’10”, the long jump at 13’10” and ran 5th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 20.0 seconds.     A slow week of activities for the local sports teams due to weather postponements or cancellations. This week should get busy. The High School track team did not go to Grant this past Saturday due to the stormy weather, but are scheduled to compete at the Western Trails Conference meet in Morrill this Saturday with a 1 p.m. start time.
