    The Kimball County Jail, which sits on the top floor of the courthouse, is currently undergoing much needed maintenance to address health and safety issues that were brought before Kimball County Sheriff Harry Gillway and the Board of County Commissioners late last year. In an effort to prepare residents for the increase, the city has had letters published explaining the purpose for the rate increases.     Project Fun's Giga-Bite has been named Street Characters' Mascot of the month for February. When Police Chief Darren Huff envisioned Project Fun, he wanted the kids to have an example to look up to, someone who could embody the "perfect citizen."     The season came to an end for the Kimball High girls' basketball team following a 47-20 loss to Dundy County in the championship game of the C2-12 sub-district tournament this past Thursday night at Sidney.
