    The Kimball High Lady Longhorns made it to the championship of their own Kimball Invitational Tournament, but Dundy County-Stratton emerged as the girl's champion in the season opening action for the four schools involved.     The Banner County Lady Wildcats hosted the Garden County Eagles on Friday, Dec. 2 for a close match-up resulting in a 29-34 loss. Leading the charge against the Eagles was Banner County’s MaKenna Dahlgrin who netted six field goals and one from the line for a total of 13 points.     A serious injury to junior starter Audrey Juelfs (see photo below) was a devastating blow to the Potter-Dix girls in the first game of the Kimball Invitation four-school tournament this past Friday afternoon.     The Potter-Dix Coyotes opened their basketball season at the Kimball Invitational on Friday, Dec. 2 with a 69-5 loss against the aggressive Dundy County-Stratton Tigers. “In short, we struggled with every aspect of the game against Dundy Co.     The Kimball High wrestlers got the season underway this past week taking part in a dual with Bayard and the Akron, Colorado Tournament. At the Bayard Dual coach Wade Brashear said, "We had several kids still working to make their weight plans so only a few wrestled. Kimball High School’s Kate Reader, a sophomore, and sister, Alex Reader, a junior, decided to help out those who are fighting cancer, through a foundation called Team Ashtyn.
