A preliminary hearing for William Shane Serrano was held in Kimball County Court on Feb. 11 at 1:30 p.m. with County Judge Randin Roland presiding. The Supreme Court lifted an injunction that blocked the COVID-19 vaccine mandate and allowed it to go into effect in 24 states in facilities that accept funding from Medicare and Medicaid – and Nebraska is one of the states. Daniel T. Gawith, 78, of Bushnell, died at his home on February 8, 2022. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 14, at Cantrell Funeral Home with Rev. Last Tuesday, we traveled to Pine and as expected, it was a physical battle. We lost 55-34 but continued to show good defense throughout the game. The girls definitely showed their conditioning level as we had to go into full court man defense to try to dig out of a bad 3rd quarter showing. Potter-Dix's Coyote Boys Basketball team has had very few bumps in the road during this season, but hit one on Friday night when they hosted the 19-and-1 Hyannis Longhorns in Potter. Potter-Dix's Lady Coyote basketball team has struggled through most of the season, but has shown continuous improvement and has battled hard against their opponents. On Friday, the Lady Longhorns of Hyannis came for a visit, and the game was a battle the whole way.
