    The atmosphere in the K-12 school was shockingly relaxed. Students were enjoying themselves, yet they were fully engaged in Option Enrollment Friday (O.E.F.) activities at Banner County School. The OEF program in Banner County is the first of it's kind in Nebraska. The mandatory school week is four days while the fifth day, Friday, which is optional for the students, is an enrichment day.     The drawing for the $5,000 worth of tools from the late Dan Kinnison estate was conducted Jan. 31 at Hometown Hardware. Proceeds from the raffle went to the Andy Shaw Memorial Fund.   • Kimball Man Jailed, Faces Hearing On Drug Charges

    A Kimball man was arraigned and will appear in court Feb. 12 in a case involving drug charges. Shawn Howell, 36, on Tuesday remained in the Kimball County jail on a $50,000 bond. After his arraignment, he was appointed an attorney. His preliminary hearing will be in Kimball County Court on Feb. 12.     A good day for the Kimball High Wrestling Team as they placed 4 wrestlers and finished 4th in the team standings of the 11 team field of entries in the Mitchell tournament. The Longhorns had two champions in Connor Cluff and Stephen Bateman, a 2nd place from Trey Schindler and a 3rd from Matt Johnson and scored 63 team points.     A tough week for te Kimball High boys as they suffered losses to Sutherland and North Platte St. Pats on back to back nights despite good effort.
