    The Kimball High Lady Longhorns won in Subdistrict on Tuesday night, Feb. 18, beating Perkins County, 46-31. This means that the Longhorns next play in the Subdistrict Championship game 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, against South Platte at Ogallala.     A key win for the Kimball High boys Friday night as they kept their Western Trails Conference hopes alive with a 49-34 win over visiting Hemingford. The Longhorns looked sharp with some good passing and team work with everyone looking for the open man which turned into baskets and a lot of assists on the stat sheet.     In Tuesday night basketball action at Pine Bluffs, the night belonged to the hosting Hornets as they dominated Kimball in both he girls and boys contests. The Lady Hornets won over Kimball 58-23 and the Pine Bluffs boys won over Kimball 85-48.     The Kimball High Wrestlers were busy at the WTC/SPVA Tournament this past week at Bridgeport, and will head to North Platte St Pats for District competition this Friday-Saturday.     The Kimball boys finished 4th in this year's Western Trails Conference Basketball Tournament play, losing 37-34 to Morrill in the consolation finals on Saturday. The Longhorns got off to a good start with a 47-30 win on the road over Gordon-Rushville in first round play, which advanced them into semifinal play at WNCC Cougar palace, and gave them two more contests as first round losers were out.     The Kimball Hight girls were eliminated from advancing to additional play at Cougar Palace in Scottsbluff with a first round loss at Bayard in Western Trail Conference Tournament play this past week.     Connor Cluff at 126 pounds was Kimball's top wrestler at the Chadron Invitational Tournament this past Saturday with a record of 4 wins and 1 loss, and finishing 4th in his class.
