Anthony and Wise compete in Nebraska junior golf tournament

A pair of Kimball's finest High School-age golfers took part in this year's Nebraska Junior Golf Tournament held in Columbus this past week. Dillon Wise and Zane Anthony both shot higher scores than they are accustomed to with Anthony scoring rounds of 89-91 and Wise 84-80. Both failed to make the cut to allow them one more day of play.

Anthony said "I was not at all happy with my play, but I guess it was a good experience." For Zane, it was probably his last competition of the summer, as far as golf goes. The 3-sport standout is also busy with basketball and football camps, leagues and workouts and is excited already to see how he, and his Kimball High teammates, can fare in their debut into the game of 8-man football this fall after making the switch from 11-man football.

"We work out three nights a week to get ready for the season. We lift and do exercises and also study the offense we will be running. We have also been attending some basketball camps and playing in some leagues this summer, so I have kept busy," Zane said. Wise, on the other hand, has plans to take part in some other golf tournaments yet this summer and he has been doing quite well in the Panhandle Junior tour, as has Anthony.
