Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

Kimball Speech brings hardware home from Perkins Co.

The Kimball High School Speech Team participated in the Perkins County invitational on Saturday, Jan. 27, and placed fourth overall with 46 points while taking four first place medals.

The team worked hard to receive six medals this weekend and as the event entered final rounds Kimball was represented in both individual and group events.

Nicholas Thomas-Lewis, shown at right, competed in three events, including Persuasive Speaking, Poetry and Serious Prose. He earned a first place medal in all three events, earning the team 30 out of the 46 points Kimball acquired.

Novice poet, Tristen Cook (far right), took home a 4th place medal as well.

Kimball's Varsity Oral Interpretation of Drama (OID) team, consisting of Kiersten Anderson, Connor Moore, Paycen Harroun, Devin Gardner and Kaden Adrian, collected a first place medal.

Kaden Adrian and Devin Gardner also brought home more gold in their Duet Acting event ranking 2nd place.

Kimball did extraordinarily well this weekend and are excited to work towards more gold next weekend at Sutherland.
