JV boys rack up two more wins

Racking up 2 more wins for the Kimball Boys JV Basketball Team running their season record to 7-2. On Friday they won over Bridgeport 46-35 and on Saturday they defeated Gordon-Rushville 54-33.

In the win over Bridgeport, Colton Mielke nailed a pair of treys and scored 10 points. Javon Coyle had a trey and 9 points, Austin Lulf had a trey and 7 points, Sam Cajero 8, Beau Hanks 8, Jaren Winstrom 2 and Brayden Tyan 2. Luis Garza was high for Bridgeport with 15.

In the win over Gordon-Rushville, Cajero led Kimball with 14 points, Ryan had 12, Lulf 10 with 2 treys, Coyle 6 with 2 treys Beau Hanks 5, Winstrom 4 and Brendan Walker 3.

The Kimball girls did not fare as well in JV play, losing to Bridgeport 54-30 and falling to Gordon-Rushville 50-42. The Bridgeport girls shot the ball like their varsity girls did, making 18/25 free throws. They had 9 players score with no one in double figures.

Lacey Klinkhammer was high for Kimball with 10 points, Jenna Greenwood had 6, Megan Spicer and Bailie Brower 5 each with Brower connecting on a trey shot and Brooklin Golding had 4. Kimball was 5/11 at

the line.

In the loss to Gordon-Rushville, a total of 71 free throws were shot with the winners making 16/39 and Kimball going 15/32. There were 26 fouls called on each team.

Sydney Biesecker was high for Kimball with 13, including 1 trey. Carli Wurdeman had 8, with 1 trey, Megan Spicer 6, with 1 trey, Jenna Greenwood 6, Madison Wynne 3, Emma Martin 2, Lacey Klinkhammer 2 and Ashlynn Guzman

2. The Kimball girls are now 4-5 on the season and will face Mitchell in their next outing.
