BPW recommends engineering proposal for landfill expansion

The Kimball Landfill is one step closer to the needed cell expansion as the Board of Public Works voted to recommend an engineering proposal from Golder and Associates of Lakewood, Colo.

The proposal was one of two received for the project, which is not a construction bid, but rather a proposal to oversee the process from bidding the job, assuring quality construction, reporting to both the City of Kimball and the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality and overseeing all aspects of construction through completion.
