Even after a long holiday break the Potter-Dix Lady Coyotes continue to roll.

2-0 on the weekend for the Lady Coyotes, they took down the Bayard Lady Tigers, as well as Blue Knights from South Platte.

The Lady Coyotes first faced Bayard in a home conference game last Friday, Jan. 5. Potter-Dix headed into the second half up by 10.

During the third quarter, the Lady Coyotes outscored the Lady Tigers by 12. The fourth quarter was a different story as Bayard was able to shut out Potter-Dix, while they were able to put up 12 points, but still falling short 37-47 handing Potter-Dix another W on the season.

Payge Hoffman headed the top of the books with 21 points, followed by Audrey Juelfs with 14, Trinity Langley with 6, and Brooke Moench, Makayla Merz, and Kelsey Hoffman adding two points each.

Juelfs also had 11 rebounds in the matchup with the Lady Tigers.

On the second game of a two game weekend they Lady Coyotes made the trip to Big Springs to face off with South Platte.

A tight first quarter left the Lady Yotes only leading by two with a score of 10-8. The second period changed a little bit of the Blue Knights rhythm when they were only able to put one point up on the board to Potter-Dix’s 10, leaving the score at the half 20-9.

In second half action it was Potter-Dix again scoring nine to South Platte’s four points.

As the clocked ticked down, Potter-Dix pulled away scoring 14 to South Platte’s 11 to end the game 43-24.

Juelfs lead the scoring for the Coyotes with 18 points, Moench added 12, P. Hoffman with nine, and Trinity Langley and K. Hoffman both adding two points for the Lady Coyotes.

The Potter-Dix Lady Coyotes are now 7-1 overall and 3-0 in district play, the Lady Coyotes faced off in a home game with the Kimball Lady Horns Tuesday Jan. 9. No information was available at press.

Tomorrow, Friday the Lady Coyotes will head to Dalton for the Rivalry Game against the Leyton Warriors.
