Lady Coyotes shut out opponents at home tournament

Potter-Dix shut out their opponents on their home court this past Saturday against Minatare, Bayard and Creek Valley.

The Lady Coyotes played strong, beating the Minatare Indians, with a 2-0 win. The Lady Coyotes outscored the Lady Indians in the first set 25-20 and took the game with a 25-8 win in the second set.

The Potter-Dix club then faced off against Bayard for another win, this time coming in three sets with a 2-1 victory. Bayard won the first set 27-25, but the Lady Coyotes came back for a 25-19 win in the second and ended the game with a 25-20 victory in the third.

The Lady Coyotes ended their day with their third win coming against Creek Valley in another three set match 2-1.

The Storm outscored the Coyotes 25-17 in the first match of play but it was all Potter-Dix from there with the second set going to the Coyotes 25-20, and the third 25-14.

Potter-Dix and Banner County played against one another and Leyton on Tuesday, Oct. 17. No further information was available at press time.

Next up for the Lady Coyotes is an away triangular at Chappell against the Creek Valley Storm and Hyannis.
