September 28, 2017

Coffee break at Laura Lee’s Double L Country Store, last Wednesday Sept. 20, Nebraska Congressman Adrian Smith met with many from the surrounding communities in Harrisburg.

Tim Nolting, Deb Diemoz, and Sherry Winstrom from Kimball attended, even students from banner county made the few mile trip. “It was nice to see students from the Banner County Civics’ Classes attend this discussion,” said Winstrom.

During the discussion there were a few topics talked about but one main item was The Scotts Bluff County Airport Authority selecting SkyWest as the preferred Essential Air Service flight to and from Scottsbluff and Denver.

The SkyWest airline is affiliated with United and uses the same colors, the airline will be flown as “United Express.”

Of course The Department of Transportation will have the final say on which carrier is chosen. More information will be released when an airline is assigned sometime in Oct. or Nov.
