Roughing It

So many fun events this weekend, I am excited to be able to enjoy the whole weekend and most of all the events this year. It seems like every other year we have something else going at least one of the days and we aren’t able to spend as much time in town.

There are so many fun activities on tap for this weekend, you can bet there won’t be any down time.

This years new event is Mud Volleyball at the Fair Grounds, how fun! No surprise I got a team together and we are all super excited to see how it turns out, but the closer it gets to Sunday, the more I am thinking it will be pretty cold stuck in all that mud.

Speaking of being cold, I think I kind of promised I would be in the dunk tank at Gotte Park on Saturday for the Masonic Lodge. That one might be colder than the Mud Volleyball, and I can almost guarantee you that I will get stuck riding in the back of my pickup on the way home so I don’t get everything wet.

You know what though? I am looking forward to it no matter how cold, wet, or hot and sunny this weekend may be. This weekend is about an event that started many years ago to celebrate farmers and ranchers around the community.

So as you enjoy this weekend, remember to thank a farmer and a rancher for all they do for our community!
