Christine Huff was born January 16, 1924 (January 15 according to family records) in Winchester, Kentucky to James Daniel and Fannie Lee (Jordan) Ramsey. Christine married the love of her life, James Jefferson Huff May 31, 1941 in Winchester, Kentucky, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 17, 1959. Having grown up on a farm, Christine learned at an early age to work hard and reap a good harvest. She carried this over into taking care of her family. Chris assumed the role of caregiver to her younger siblings at the age of 14 after her mother passed away and has continued through her life taking care of her family and others she has had the opportunity to serve. Chris worked at the Kimball County Hospital as a nurse's aide for over 30 years. Her favorite duties included helping deliver babies and taking care of them in the nursery. She always loved being around young people, they helped keep her young, she would say. Though Chris only attended school through the 8th grade, she never stopped taking opportunities to learn. She loved to read, taught herself to quilt, crochet, embroider, paint, cook, and sew. Chris loved music and singing, hunting, fishing, walking, gardening, quilting, her church, and most of all, her children and grandchildren. Chris joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints November, 1954. Her faith and her family were her life. She always testified of her strong belief in prayer and the teachings of the scriptures. Thank you to the staff of Kimball County Manor for their care of our mom.

Christine left behind a beautiful legacy in her children, Wanda Faye Kolehmainen, Robert (LuWayne), James Jr. (Debora), Michael, Vicki (Michael) Platt; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; a daughter-in-law, Sharon (Bohac); her brothers James, William, Luther, Robert; and sister, Anna.
