Amanda D. (Milton) Cronkhite

Amanda Danielle (Milton) Cronkhite passed away suddenly at home after a lingering illness, Wednesday, January 11, 2017.

Amanda was born January 22, 1983 in Denver, to Colin and Wanda (Hoskin) Milton. Amanda grew up in the Brighton area and was a graduate of Brighton High School in 2001 and the Bel-Rea Institute, as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Amanda was well respected for her love and talents with all animals, from snakes to rhinoceros'.

Amanda and John Cronkhite were married in Eaton, May 24, 2014, in a lovely, outdoor ceremony at home.

Amanda was an animal lover throughout her life. Her special love was for horses and German Shepherds. Amanda was in Adams County 4-H from three years old to 18 years old. In 2001 and 2002, Amanda was honored to be the first ADCO Fair and Rodeo Queen in many years. She was very active in Future Farmers of America. She loved taking part in rodeos, participating in Barrel Racing.

Amanda leaves behind her husband; parents, Colin and Wanda Milton of Kimball, NE, formerly of Brighton; siblings, Laura (Dave) Whelchel, of Harrisburg, NE, Daniel (Tristan) Milton of Reed Point, MT, and Amy (Ian) Maxwell of Englewood FL; a large loving extended family; and her beloved animals.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents; and numerous cherished animals.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, February 18th, at Kersey Community Church, Kersey, Colorado, beginning with a potluck at 11 AM and Celebration at 2:20 PM. Dress is casual.....Amanda's favorite color was purple.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Adams County 4-H Horse Program, Colorado Horse Rescue or to John Cronkhite, to care for Amanda's animals. Please send checks In Care of Colin and Wanda Milton, 5448 N Hwy 71, Kimball NE 69145, to be acknowledged and dispersed.
