Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

Wildcat runners continue improving

With a short turn around time between the Alliance and Scottsbluff races the Banner County runners competed in Scottsbluff on Tuesday, Sept. 20 against runners from Scottsbluff, Gering, Bridgeport, Kimball, Chadron, Mitchell, Bayard, Hemingford, Crawford and Minatare.

Josh Boston ran the Alliance 5K course in 20:27 and Courtney Knisley ran the same one in 23:44, though the Scottsbluff course was more difficult for both, as Boston ran a 21:39 and Knisley 24:12.

Coach Kari Gifford said, “Josh and Courtney were a little disappointed with their times, but the quick turnaround from Alliance probably had some effect on their performances. While I know they were disappointed, they still put forth good effort and are working hard to get better.”
