One suspect is in custody and the Kimball Police Department continues to investigate recent burglaries and vandalism.
According to Kimball Police Captain Andy Bremer, while the investigation is ongoing, the stolen vehicle was recovered in Colorado and one suspect is in custody in Aurora, Colo., but will be extradited to Nebraska on felony charges.
"We do have some other evidence," Bremer added. "The biggest thing was the vehicle."
Items were missing from both Schadegg Motors as well as Wolf Automotive and damage was done to both properties.
Additionally, the Kimball Police Department continues to investigate a slew of recent vandalisms to public and private property in an unrelated case.
"We also have a suspect for at least some of the vandalisms as well," he said.
While the most recent incident, at Pizza Hut, is also being investigated, authorities are unsure whether it is connected to any other cases.
Bremer added that residents should park vehicles in driveways if possible and he encourages using motion activated lighting. While these measures may not stop all incidents, they could deter vandals.
"We went to 12-hour shifts, so we are on 24-hour coverage," he added. "We still have to solve these crimes. Just because we are out, doesn't mean its not going to happen."
