Robin L. Rutledge

Robin Lee (Sowerwine) Rutledge, 53, of Kimball passed peacefully surrounded by her faimily on July 10, 2016 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, WY. The celebration of Robin's life will be Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the E-Free Church in Kimball, with Pastor Hod Boltjes officiating. Cremation has been held. Memorials can be sent to the Kimball County Ambulance Service.

Robin was born on February 13, 1963 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Richard and Mary (Johns) Sowerwine. She was welcomed home by sister Rhonda and later welcomed brother Scott. In 1973 Robin gained her dad Marvin Jensen, sisters Treana and Brenda, and brother Ben. Together the new family moved to Kimball where she graduated from high school in 1981 and spent the remainder of her adult years.

On December 15, 1993 her dream came true when daughter Joelyann was brought into her life. Robin dedicated herself as an EMT on the Kimball County Ambulance Service for 20 years. Her service to the community was also evident in her job as Emergency Dispatcher at the sheriff's office. Hers was a calm and comforting voice on the other end of the phone and police radio. The joy of Robin's last years were her granddaughters Jocelyn and Ainslee.

Robin is survived by daughter Joelyann of Kimball, her parents Mary and Marvin Jensen, Kimball and Richard Sowerwine, Gering; granddaughters Jocelyn and Ainslee, Kimball; sisters Trena Pimavera (Steven, David, Taylor), Cheyenne, WY, Brenda Mayes (Brenton, Alexis), San Antonio, TX; brothers Scott, and wife Laurel (Emmy, Madi, Aly), Phoenix, AZ, and Ben Jensen (Ellen), Sidney, NE; nephews Kevin and Kyle Wynne; brother-in-law Carl Stander (Jessica, Jamie), Holdrege, NE; numerous other nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was proceeded in death by sister Rhonda Stander, maternal and paternal grandparents and numerous other family members.
