KHS golfers travel with their own fan club

Reflecting back on the Kimball High boy's golf season that wound up with the Longhorns making a trip to the State Tournament in Kearney, we need to give some special attention to the family-following to support the team. Coach Chad Wise said Mike and Phyllis Greenwood, grandparents of Jordan Greenwood, were staunch followers. "They never missed a tournament, despite the weather and regardless of how far they had to travel" said Wise. Phyllis and Mike are pictured taking a well deserved break at the conclusion of the state, tournament. By the way, Phyllis walked the many courses played as she followed Jordan, while Mike rode a golf cart whenever possible.

The Anthony family pose for the Observer sports camera at the state tournament. They were there to support the Kimball team, and especially young Zane Anthony. Pictured left to right, Lynn Anthony, his mother Sandy Anthony and sister SueAnn Ballas, and Theresa Anthony. Lynn and Theresa are Zane's parents, while Sandy is his grandmother and SueAnn is his Aunt. Grandma and Aunt came all the way from Frisco, Texas to watch Zane and teammates perform.
