Lady Coyotes dominated Garden Co.

The Potter Dix Lady Coyotes overwhelmed the Garden County Lady Eagles at home on Friday, Feb. 5, by a score of 61-27.

Leading the pack for the Lady Coyotes was senior Anna McLaughlin. McLaughlin hit double digits, hitting five of ten two-point attempts and going two for two at the line, for a total of 12 points to her credit.

Junior Brooke Glass and Senior Cortney Lewis followed McLaughlin with 11 each. Glass shot 4/8 inside the arch, and 2/2 for a 100 percent shooting average from the line, while Lewis netted five of eight field goals and added one from two free throw attempts.

Trinity Langley contributed eight, shooting 4/9 from inside while Audrey Juelfs hit two of nine attempted field goals and netted three of four attempts at the line and Dawson Sharman added six, hitting three of four from inside.

Other Lady Coyotes that got on the board were Payge Hoffman with three, Sierra Wheelok added two, and Alexus Rozelle, one.

McLaughlin led with rebounds as well, pulling down three offensive and six defensive for a total of nine, followed by Cortney Lewis, who grabbed seven and Rozelle, Langley and Sierra Wheelock with six each.

Juelfs pulled down five rebounds and was credited with seven assists and six steals with no turnovers.

Turnovers were kept low, with Glass contributing the highest, at four, followed by Langley with three.

The Lady Coyotes played aggressively, as always, but they fought a clean game, with just ten fouls for the whole event.

Garden County stats were not available.

The Potter-Dix girls traveled to Peetz, Colo., for a non-conference match up with the Peetz Lady Bulldogs, 6-18 on the season, on Tuesday, Feb. 9. Game stats were not available at press time.
