Kimball Cody Kirby handles his opponent during the Mitchell Invitational. Kirby placed third at the meet while teammate Garrett Pedersen placed fourth in his weight division.
Kimball had two medal winners at the Mitchell Invitational Wrestling Tournament with Cody Kirby finishing 3rd at 220 pounds and Garrett Pedersen 4th at 106. As a team, Kimball placed 11th in the field of 15 teams with 26 points.
Coach Wade Brashear said "The competition was good. Overall we wrestled decent, but our inexperience shows. As a team we have shown good improvement, but with a tough D-4 District coming up, we must continue to strive to get better. This week we were without our 285 pounder as he had a family emergency. The team is showing progress and we compete for the last time...
