Kimball JV return from break with mixed results

The Kimball Junior Varsity Basketball Teams had a busy week just like the varsity but not a lot of high lights. The boy’s JV started out at Sidney and got chewed up pretty good by the larger school losing 72-31. Brandon Barker scored 12 points with 2 treys, Izaak Reuter had 8, Kale Bush 5, Brady Kilgore 5, and Colton Mielke 3.

The Kimball boys had a big night at Mitchell, winning 48-31. Again Barker was high with 15 points. Andrew McCloud had 12, Kilgore 6, Grant Hickman 5, Reuter 4, Ryan Soper 3, and Corey Travis and Bush with 2 each.

Kimball lost to Chase County in a close contest with a final score of 52-47. Barker exploded for 19 points in his two quarters of JV action. Reuter had 14, Kilgore 8, Travis, Bush and McCloud all 2 each.

The Kimball girls lost all three of their games this week. At Sidney they fell 45-21 with Kaylyn Nelson high with 8, Shauntae Daily had 5, Kate Reader and Justine Heeg 4 each.

Mitchell won over Kimball 56-34 with Alexis Lulf leading the way with 8, Lacy Klinkhammer had 6, Hailey Paxton 5, Heeg 5, Nelson 4, Daily 4, and Hannah Biesecker 2.

Chase County won over Kimball 49-29 with Lulf high with 6 on her 2 treys, Nelson and Klinkhammer also with 6 each and each with 1 trey. Biesecker had 4, Madison Wynne 4, Paxton 2, and Daily 1.
