FERGUSON HOME FOR SHORT BASKETBALL BREAK

Kendall Ferguson and his Hastings College team mates had a three-game past week schedule but were given a short break to spend Thanksgiving with their families today before heading back to Hastings for practice tomorrow (Friday).

The former Kimball High standout is still a standout, and is a starter for the Broncos in just his second year with the Men's basketball program after playing football his first two years at the school.

The big guy is leading his team in some categories and had big stats again this week. Against Concordia Ferguson scored 18 points to share high scoring honors with his 7/13 shooting from the field including 2/5 on three pointers and 2/2 foul shooting, led his team in rebounds with 9, had 3 assists, 1 block and 3 steals.

This past Saturday night Hastings won over Northwestern 107-99 and Ferguson had 12 points on 3/7 field goal shooting and 6/8 foul shooting plus 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal and like in the 87-80 win over Concordia, he made some key plays to put his team in position to finish out.

In a Sunday night contest on the road at the University of Kearney, and without one of their key starters, the Broncos came up short losing 98-74, but again it was Ferguson leading his club with 11 points on 4/9 shooting from the field and 2/6 from the line, along with 9 rebounds and 1 steal.

Hastings is now 6-3 on the season and will return to action on December 2 against Doane College in Crete and are at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa on December 5.
