A good year for Kimball deer hunters

It was a bountiful year for Kimball area deer hunters with a grand total of 226 deer checked in at the Sportsman's Liquor check-in location.

According to Lissa Wangler, owner of Sportsman's Liquor, they checked in 200 mule deer and 26 white tail with 165 bucks and 61 does. "We didn't have as many out of state hunters checkin animals this year but still there were some from California, South Carolina, Iowa, and Colorado along with our Nebraska license holders," Wangler said.

There were nice bucks checked including this large mule deer buck killed by Dalton Lockwood, a local Kimball County resident. We urge you hunters to send in your pictures to share with our readers, and you can also view many pictures on the Sportsman's Liquor face-book page as well.
