Carpet installation imminent

After more than a year, the wait is nearly over for the Kimball Public Library. In anticipation of new carpet installation, they are hosting a book sale/garage sale on Nov. 28 and again Dec. 5 in the west room of the library.

Sales such as this for the library have historically been held on Farmer’s Day, with proceeds going to projects set by the Friends of the Kimball Public Library.

According to Kimball Public Library Director Jan Sears the 18-month project is nearing its end and the needed funds have been acquired, with carpet installation planned for the week after Christmas.

To make the process easier for the carpet layers extra books, shelves, desks, chairs and even a couple of televisions will be sold.

“We have lots of books, and I have new books set out as well,” Sears said. “Patrons can fill a bag for $5.”
