Lady Wildcats fall in MAC tournament

The Banner County Lady Wildcats fell in their MAC tournament match against Leyton, falling 25-8 and 25-10 on Saturday.

"We came out timid and didn't play as a team. We beat ourselves. There was some immediate progress over the areas we had worked on during the previous week, however. For example, our blockers did a great job of getting to the ball and coming away with some touches and ace blocks. Our serve receive and scrappiness also showed some advancement.

"We have a lot of talented and hardworking individuals, we just need to sync as a team and go out expecting to win. I am excited for the triangular at Potter on Tuesday since we will get to play Leyton again and finally have a chance at Potter-Dix, an excellent team."

MaKenna Dahlgrin was the leader in kills for the Lady Wildcats that Saturday, with a total of 10. Shay White was close behind her with a total of 8. Emily Singleton had a total of 7, Paige Cross had 3 and Jadyn Cross had a total of 2 kills.

Savannah Jordan and Paige Cross had three digs each.
