Kimball volleyball posts 2-1 week

The Kimball volleyball team posted a pair of wins last week as the Lady Longhorns topped Bayard in a triangular and win at home against Morrill. Kimball is now 12-5 on the season.

In Thursday's match, the Lady Longhorns picked up a 25-7, 25-14, 23-25 and 25-21 win at home against Morrill.

"It was a nice win," said Kimball volleyball coach Jeri Ferguson. "We were able to try a couple of different things and still end the night with a win. We are now focusing on getting ready for this last run of the schedule."

Ali Hunsaker was the leader in service points with a total of 23. Madison Biesecker was right behind her with a total of 12 service points and Mikayla Feihtner had 11.

Danika Daum was the leader in kills for that game with a total of 20. Biesecker and Raelynn Hinton added six kills each.

Daum was also the leader in blocks with a total of three, and Biesecker also had two blocks in the win.

Biesecker was the leader in assists with 51, while Daum was next with 21.

Earlier in the week, Kimball topped homestanding Bayard 25-11 and 25-21 to open play in a triangular. The Lady Longhorns lost 23-25, 25-16 and 16-25 to Potter-Dix in the second match of the triangular. No statistics were available for those two matches.
