Kimball golfers improving

On the subject of golf, Kimball High held their home girls golf tournament this past week with 27 girls participating. Gering won team honors with a team score of 416, Bayard had 466, and Sidney junior varsity 513.

Mitchell's Kensey Kanno won individual top honors with her round of 97.

Kimball's two entries were Lila Moore with 155 and Natasha Selves with 164 but coach Nora Robinson said the girls are working to learn the game and are improving. I was out on the course trying to get some pictures of the two Kimball girls and got to see Natasha drain a 15 foot putt on number 12.

Lila went to Chappell for the tournament sponsored by Creek Valley on Thursday of last week and talk about improvement! The young sophomore shot her best competitive round of her young career of l36! This score led to her entry in the varsity division at Mitchell today (Thursday). Selves did not compete at the Chappell tournament.
