Vogel transfers to play hoops at Dakota State

MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State University Lady T's basketball coach Jeff Dittman has announced the signing of Shelby Vogel of Kimball High School in Nebraska.  She will be transferring from Doane College and have three years of eligibility remaining.

Vogel, a 5-foot-9 forward, averaged 11.3 points and 5.2 rebounds during her senior season at Kimball High School.  She was a two-time Western Trails All-Conference selection.  She was also named South Platte Valley Association All-Conference her senior season.

Vogel also lettered in track where she was a state participant for four years.  She was named to Western Trails All-Conference in triple jump during her senior year and participated in the Best of the West Track and Field for four years. 

Shelby is the daughter of Todd and Lynn Vogel of Kimball, Neb.  She plans to major in elementary education with a minor in special education at Dakota State University.
