Luverne Gade

Luverne Gade, 91, of Pine Bluffs, Wyo., passed away March 13, 2015, at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne surrounded by his family.

Luverne was born April 6, 1923, in Miller, S.D., a son of the late Emil and Louise (Becker) Gade.

Luverne was raised in Pine Bluffs and graduated from Pine Bluffs High School. He owned numerous business in Pine Bluffs, including the Wild Horse Truck Stop for 23 years and the Travelyn Motel.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling and bowling. He was a dedicated member of Grace English Lutheran Church. He will be remembered for his love of family and as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Luverne is survived by his wife, Mildred; four children, Renae Corn, Carolyn DeMara, Daryl Gade and Marlene Svenkesen; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.

A funeral was held March 17 at Grace English Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace English Lutheran Church.
