Potter-Dix's run in the volleyball playoffs came to an end last Thursday in the district finals with a 3-1 loss to host Brady. The Lady Coyotes won their first two playoff games before falling a game short of a state tournament berth.
The Lady Coyotes opened the playoffs Nov. 3 with a 3-1 win against Dundy County-Stratton. They won 25-11, 26-28, 25-11 and 25-23.
Regyn Hicks led the team offensively with 11 kills and nine blocks. Lanie Thies led the team with eight aces and 35 assists, while Audrey Juelfs led the team defensively with 22 digs.
In their second playoff contest, the Lady Coyotes picked up a 3-1 victory against Creek Valley. They won 17-25, 25-22, 25-14 and 25-10.
Alexus Rozelle led the team offensively with 13 kills, while Hicks added four blocks. Thies had a team-high 25 assists, and Hicks led the team defensively with 23 digs.
In Thursday's contest, Brady topped Potter-Dix 25-11, 26-28, 25-11 and 25-23. The Lady Coyotes end the season with a 17-13 record.
