Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

Bushnell Bits

Since I was unable to attend the village meeting last week, here’s a quick summary I got from board chairman Tim Nolting. He said the meeting was short and they only covered a few items of business. The board accepted a bid on the metal roofing material that was removed from the shop building when the hail damage was repaired. They voted to file their periodic road maintenance report. Rick reported that they are still having electrical problems with one of the water pumps. The village also decided to see if they can get funding to replace the street signs because the current ones are in poor shape and new regulations will be coming out soon requiring reflective signage. I’ll listen to the recording this week and report back if there was anything I missed.

The Craft Club meets on Monday, January 28.

The Bushnell Lions Club has calendars for sale at the Sisters Grimm. Stop by and pick one up for only $5.

For the rest of the month the bookstore will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays (or by appointment). Lunch will only be served on Sundays. This Sunday’s lunch special is pulled pork sandwiches.
