    Throughout the past, the "Ribs n' More" cook off took place in June, donating the proceeds to a local organization. After Jowain Sherman passed the cherished baton to the James L. Eatmon Masonic Lodge this year, the Lincoln Highway BBQ Fest took its first form last Saturday at Gotte Park in Kimball.     Washington D.C.’s junior leadership conference catches the eye of the Kimball’s Joseph Bremer, a sixth grade student at Mary Lynch Elementary. This summer Joseph took a trip to Washington D.C. after being nominated by Mr. Bernie Walker for the conference. Nominations are made based on student’s aspirations, according to Walker. This program began in 1985 with a teacher who wanted to give her students a chance to attend the second Inauguration of Ronald Reagan.     Sandra "Sandy" A. Vavra, 64, of Sidney, died at the Kimball County Manor on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Cremation has been held and memorial services will be held at a later date.     Come rain or shine, the Teammates Golf Tournament was determined to go on, and it did, complete with rain and shine. With a 1 p.m. start time, following lunch and registration, the rules were told to the golfers and Greg Robinson said we are getting you off a bit early, hoping we can beat the forecasted rain, but that didn’t happen.
