    Several people gathered in Larsen's Jewelry last Friday to congratulate Carma Weisbrook, Mary Lynch Elementary School fifth grade teacher, on a job well done.     In the summer time, Kimball sees an influx in snakes in the area, predominantly in bullsnakes and rattlesnakes. As a result, residents should be up to date on what to do if they encounter either of these animals. The first thing that should be known is how to identify the types of snakes and also how to differentiate between bullsnakes and rattlesnakes.     Mildred Alice Johnson, 89, of Gering, formerly of Banner County, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Heritage Estates in Gering. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2014, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Ken Boston officiating.     Kimball's Henry Heeg brought home yet another golf honor Tuesday evening after finishing runnerup in the Nebraska Lions Club All Class State Medalist Tournament held at the Meadow Lark Golf Course in Kearney on Monday-Tuesday.
